The last one..

The CFC-year is over. We are done with the exam and we have started the vacation - though work is a part of the holiday for some of us. So now we have to wrap up and blog one last time.

This year can be described in many words; challenging, a lot of fun, hard, good friends, strange food, lots of work, frustration, laughter, language, lots of new knowledge and simply the best!

We are both really happy abuot our decission to attend this program. No regrets:)

Next year Gina is going to på a "stipendiat" at Sunnmøre Folkehøgskole for the cfc course. Like a socialworker for next year participants. That means that she is going to Kenya this September. Frida is not jealous at all...! Oh, yes she is.

Frida is going to work at KFUK-hjemmet i London/ the YWCA hostel in London as a houseassistent. She is moving Sunday the 3rd of July.

So we have both really interesting years ahead of us:)

Thanks for a great year! Memories for life:)

After this the international participants went on their debreif, and the norwegian participants went on a study week in Oslo.

Now we have been on sufh for two weeks reading for our exam. The big day is tomorrow.. That's why we are spending the time on blogging.. :S

Hurra for sufh, CFC og Fairtrade!

Ulstein som Fairtrade-kommune

Denne uka har vi intensivt arbeid på sufh. Vi skal lage en kampanje - from scratch. Temaet vårt er Fairtrade. Vi skal prøve å gjøre Ulstein kommune til en Fairtradekommune. Dette er kriteriene:

• Det må dannes en lokal styringsgruppe som har ansvaret for å drive arbeidet fremover. Styringsgruppen kan bestå av hvem som helst i kommunen - jo større bredde jo bedre, men det må være en representant fra kommunen.
• Kommunestyret eller bystyret må gjøre et vedtak om å støtte Fairtrade, og servere Fairtrade-merket kaffe og te til sine ansatte og på møter.
• Et utvalg av Fairtrade-merkede produkter må være tilgjenglig for forbrukere i lokale butikker og serveringssteder.
• Fairtrade-merkede produkter må benyttes i et visst antall lokale bedrifter, skoler, kirker eller lignende.
• Det skal drives et aktivt informasjonsarbeid i kommunen.

Vi er på den awesome mediagruppa og dagen har bestått i å ringe og mase på ulike aviser, radioer, tv stasjoner, osv :) Og i mellom slagene tar vi oss tid til å spise litt Fairtrade sjokolade. NAM! Dagene er lange, men dette er gøy! Og nå er det bare ti dager igjen på sufh..

Informasjonsturneen er nå over og vi har hatt showet vårt for siste gang. Nå er det påskeferie med besøk av de internasjonale. Etter påske skal vi først ha kampanjeuke og så en uke med sosialt-og-hygge-nå-er-det-snart-over før siste skoledag på sufh; 7.mai.

During the first information tour the YWCA-YMCA group visited Fridas farm. It was a really good day with allot of fun and good food:)

Fridas farm-wardrobe managed to dress up all 12 participants with out-door clothing. So then we went out.. :)

International class went on a three days skiing trip. We stayed in a cabin, was allot outside, tried skiing - for the very first time for some of us, ate good food and had a great time:)
